Bad Timing

Energy Australia got their Earth Hour timing a bit off, sending the City Center into involuntary blackness at peak hour with a power failure.
I traffic jams were the norm in the CBD, however people trapped in lifts is a bit out of the ordinairy. Makes you wonder just what these 'City Folk' would do if the lights went out for good.
In fact I think I could imagine it very well after reading the 50's SciFi novel "Earth Abides".
